MAGICAL VENICE PHOTO TOUR

From September 24th to October 1st 2016

There is no place on earth like Venice; it’s a fantasy world unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. The overwhelming beauty of Venice–built on over 100 islands and laced together by sun-speckled canals lined by elegant and exotic palaces–all make it a magical place to visit and take photographs.

While Venice is probably the most photographed place in the world, we’re not going to photograph only the famous landmarks like St. Mark Square, the Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs, the canals with gondolas and Steamers, but dig deeper, into the more secluded, intimate and truly Italian passageways.

We will capture the true essence of the city; the people, the water and the streets are in fact the main heart of our photographic adventure as we wander and photograph areas that are certainly the richest in culture, the most authentic, colorful and fascinating of Venice, such as the traditional market of Rialto; the oldest Venetian Squero – a local shipyard for the construction of gondolas; the islands of the lagoon, including Murano – Italy’s main glass-making center since 1291 – where we’ll visit the beautiful glass factory of the Seguso Family; and the island of Burano, famous for its lace-making and for its brightly-coloured houses.

The tour is perfect for whoever loves to travel and take pictures. Stefania and Barbara will take you off-the-beaten track to discover the most charming and less touristy Venice and will be at your side to help you define and achieve your photographic goals. Every day we’ll visit and photograph a different location and we’ll be able to review our images in groups or individually during breaks or after dinner.

Our base camp will be the beautiful Villa Ines located in the center of the Lido – http://www.villa-ines.com/index.html – an island known for its Art Nouveau architecture and famous beaches.
